Kineticsware Launches Textile and
Apparel Business Unit Based in Italy
Unit to Carry Out Research and Development, Channel Management,
Product Management and Technical Support
KIRKLAND, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/02/07 -- Kineticsware, a global software company and Microsoft partner focused on customers in supply chain intensive industries, today announces the formation of its Textile and Apparel business unit (BU), based in Lomazzo, Italy. The team includes Jon Buchan, former sales director responsible for North American sales of Blue Fox Porini, a division of Blue Fox Enterprises N.V., and John Charnovich, Vice President, Industry Solutions and former Chief Information Officer of Hanes Brands, Inc.
Kineticsware, established in 2006 with operations in North America and the United Kingdom, is led by former executives from Microsoft Dynamics and other enterprise software companies including i2 Technologies, JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft. Its new Textile and Apparel BU will carry out research and development, channel partner management, product management and technical support. The BU is expected to employ approximately 15 professionals in Italy by the end of 2007.
According to Kineticsware's CEO, Jeff Sampson, "There is a tremendous opportunity to build and deliver vertical software solutions for Textile and Apparel companies." As consumers demand an increasing assortment of unique lifestyle brands, fashions and comfort with new high performance fabrics and products in the market, the world value of exports in the Textile and Apparel industry has increased to over $476 BB, an increase of 25% over the past 5 years, according to the World Trade Organization. For years, software companies have failed to fully address the total needs of these customers due to increasingly complex supply chains characterised by shorter lead times, a growing number of seasons in a year, and challenges relating to global trade, product quotas and tariffs by country. Additionally, cost competitiveness and globalization of supply and manufacturing capabilities in Central America and Asia has lowered the barriers to entry and driven the need for global visibility of Supply Chain operations. "The new textile and apparel BU is established to help manufacturers in these industries tackle these challenges, increase efficiency and ultimately, profitability," Sampson adds.
Kineticsware develops complete vertical solutions for the Textile and Apparel industry. They are comprised of two key components; industry extensions developed for the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP business application platform and stand alone, industry specific applications that are integrated and complement Dynamics AX. By providing additional applications in the areas of advanced planning & scheduling, product lifecycle management, product data management, manufacturing and shop floor control and sourcing collaboration, Kineticsware will deliver the only end-to-end and extended supply chain platform for Textile and Apparel companies.

Sampsons bedrijf Kineticsware heeft 35 man in dienst.

Kineticsware Launches in Europe and Appoints New Microsoft Dynamics Industry Experts to Management Team

Company Enters High-Growth European Market to Deliver Microsoft Dynamics Solutions to Medium-Sized Companies in High-Tech, Consumer Goods, Textile and Apparel

READING, UK -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/24/2007 – Kineticsware, a global software company and Microsoft partner focused on customers in supply chain intensive industries, announces today that it is moving into the European market following a successful North American launch in March. Kineticsware's European headquarters are based in Reading, United Kingdom.
Kineticsware develops industry-specific Microsoft Dynamics and .NET framework applications to medium-sized companies in high-tech, consumer goods, textile and apparel markets. These supply-chain intensive industries require business applications to address processes like collaboration, e-procurement, B2B integration, sales and operations planning, supply chain planning and customer lifecycle management. Microsoft Dynamics AX is the ideal platform choice for medium-sized companies and divisions of larger enterprises for whom traditional ERP and SCM solutions are prohibitively expensive and too complex to implement and maintain.

Kineticsware's industry specific applications are delivered through a carefully selected network of partners to whom the company provides comprehensive marketing, sales, training and implementation support. Kineticsware has already established partnerships with Sonata, Habañero, Sierra Systems and Arbela Technologies and will announce further partnerships at the forthcoming Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Denver, Colorado in July.

According to Rebecca Wettemann, Vice President, Nucleus Research, "The big enterprise applications players including Oracle and SAP have upped the ante to compete in the mid-market -- where Microsoft's Dynamics applications have traditionally been strong -- because they recognize the significant revenue growth opportunity. The challenge for the big players is that the purchase, deployment, and management dynamics of enterprise applications are very different in the mid-market. Microsoft's challenge has been to enable its mid-market partners to compete with industry functionality, consistent tools and methodologies to deliver success. Kineticsware has focused on this opportunity, and has the potential to be very disruptive in the small and mid-sized enterprise software market."

Kineticsware's founders are Chief Executive Officer Jeff Sampson and Chief Marketing Officer Richard Barnett, both former directors responsible for the Microsoft Dynamics AX product line within Microsoft Corporation. Simon Thomason, Kineticsware's newly appointed EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Managing Director, brings twenty years Microsoft industry experience to the role. Most recently, Thomason served as Technology Vice President for Capgemini's United Kingdom and Ireland practice where he established the Microsoft Dynamics initiative globally. Philip Stride, previously Managing Director for the Touchstone Group, will step into the role of United Kingdom Managing Director for Kineticsware. Under Philip's leadership, the Touchstone Group grew to be the largest revenue generating Microsoft Dynamics AX partner in the United Kingdom.

Kineticsware is expanding across Europe and has recently opened an office in Lomazzo, Italy that will serve as the company's base for its textile and apparel business unit. Kineticsware plans to expand further into Northern Europe later in the year.

According to Jeff Sampson, Kineticsware's CEO, "Our European launch is a natural extension of our relationships with the regional Microsoft organization, partners, and customers. We are excited to bring our industry solutions and partner enablement program to the European market to address the growing requirements of medium-sized, multinational customers in supply-chain intensive industries."
