magicJack VocalTec $CALL Ramps on Strong Results, Retail Expansion
magicJack VocalTec (NASDAQ: CALL) is trading up 16.5% after-hours following better-than-expected fourth quarter results and outlook and a major retail distribution expansion.
magicJack VocalTec Communication LTD (NASDAQ: CALL) reported Q4 EPS of $0.69, $0.28 better than the analyst estimate of $0.41.
Revenue for the quarter came in at $38.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $35.93 million. The company sees FY 2014 revenue of $158-$163 million, versus the consensus of $147.2 million.
The company also announced that it is expanding retail distribution through the launch of its national indirect retail channel. The incremental expansion brings magicJack to major metro urban population centers throughout the United States, introducing the product and company to a new customer segment nationwide.
New magicJack locations, or doors, will begin launching this month, with more than 10,000 incremental new doors targeted to open in 2014 on top of the approximately 25,000 locations currently carrying magicJack including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Target, Frys, CVS and more.
