CG-FNAIM Improves Customer Service and Employee Productivity with Seagull Software's LegaSuite®

CG-FNAIM Transforms Financial Guarantee Application
with New User Experience in Three Months

ATLANTA and PARIS - 19 September 2005 - Seagull Software (AEX: SEAGULL), a leading provider of technology for transforming legacy applications into service-oriented architecture assets, announced today that CG-FNAIM has completely re-engineered the user experience for its core financial guarantee application using the LegaSuite platform. The application is now compliant with CG-FNAIM's Extranet standards, and includes integration with a variety of desktop applications to improve productivity and customer service.

The FNAIM Real-Estate Guarantee Fund Group is the number one financial guarantee company in France. It advices and proposes financial guaranties to the 8000 FNAIM (Fédération Nationale de l'Immobilier) members.

Communicating with its members and clients through an Extranet, CG-FNAIM had to harmonize information available on line with its unique application of financial guarantee running on an IBM legacy system. Before LegaSuite, every day a team of 60 employees had to manually navigate through a complex mixture of applications to perform their client account management work: email, electronic calendar, word processor, the financial guarantee application and the Extranet. To speed and simplify access and management of the client files, CG-FNAIM made the decision to develop a new Web interface that would consolidate all of the applications into a single portal. After evaluating several solutions, they selected LegaSuite from Seagull Software.

"Among the different solutions, LegaSuite is the only one that offers so many possibilities of user interface personalization and integration with Internet and office automation applications," said Patrice Gaillot, IT Manager for CG-FNAIM. "Within three months, we build a new user experience that is consistent with our Extranet standards, without re-writing one line of code on our host application."

The user interface has been completely re-designed. 'Favorites' propose the most visited screens (depending on user), notebooks allow for quick shortcuts, links allow users to open the email application directly with the client's email and cryptic service codes are now presented in common language terms. "Our employees re-discovered the application," said Patrice Gaillot. "Some functions were unknown because the legacy application was not intuitive. With LegaSuite it is now clear, and our employees are able to provide better service to our clients."
