Dacht er ook aan, maar had er eind maart nog opgepikt onder de 76 (ondertussen terug verkocht). Om maar te zeggen, 't is zeker geen abnormale koers, de snelheid van de daling wel.

Inderdaad wel iets om op te letten, in algemene zin, dat een relatieve achterstand niet teveel toeneemt met specifieke aandacht voor iets dat belangrijk is gemaakt. De blockbuster, in het geval van UCB.

er is heel waarschijnlijk nieuws op komst, lang zal het nu wel niet meer duren want het FDA besluit komt normaal gezien eind 2de kwartaal . FDA laat ons echt wel in spanning zitten . Dat maakt het artikel van de tijd ons duidelijk .

Brussels (Belgium), 23 December 2022 – 07:00 (CET) – UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review the Biologics License Application (BLA) resubmission for bimekizumab for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. The FDA designated the resubmission as ‘Class 2’ with a six-month review period. The FDA action is expected in the second quarter of 2023.

“The FDA acceptance of our resubmitted application for bimekizumab is positive news that moves us one step closer to providing the first dual IL-17A and IL-17F inhibitor to address the unmet needs of people with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in the U.S. We will continue to work with the FDA through the review process with the goal of bringing bimekizumab to the dermatology community in the U.S. as soon as possible,” said Emmanuel Caeymaex, Executive Vice President, Immunology Solutions and Head of U.S., UCB.

In November 2022, UCB announced resubmission of the BLA for bimekizumab, for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, following receipt of a complete response letter in May 2022.

Fidelity kocht afgelopen maanden bijna 1 miljoen aandelen UCB bij.

Ze bezitten nu 4,37% van het totale aantal aandelen tegenover 3,86% begin augustus vorig jaar.

FMR LLC., notified that, following an acquisition of UCB shares with voting rights by its affiliates, its shareholding in UCB SA increased and crossed the 3% threshold on 19 May 2023.
On 19 May 2023, FMR LLC. (taking into account the holding of its affiliates) owned 8 502 358 UCB shares with voting rights, representing 4.37% of the total number of shares issued by the company (194 505 658), versus 3.86% (7 509 016 UCB shares) in the previous notification dated 3 August 2022.

Er zijn er blijkbaar altijd sommigen die eerder aan hun informatie geraken. Nu wordt het ~~gokken~~ hopen dat UCB de opmerkingen van de FDA snel genoeg kan oplossen om een tweede CRL te vermijden.

De Amerikaanse geneesmiddelenwaakhond FDA heeft na een tweede inspectie van de productievestiging van UCB in het Waalse Eigenbrakel opnieuw een Form 483 uitgestuurd, raakte vorige donderdag bekend. Op 21 april werden drie opmerkingen gemaakt die verband houden met tekortkomingen in procedure en documentatie. Ze zijn verschillend van de vier opmerkingen die gemaakt werden in de eerste Form 483 en die te maken hadden met het ontwerp van de productiefaciliteit en structurele tekortkomingen. Het lijkt minder uitdagend om de nu gemaakte opmerkingen in 15 werkdagen op te lossen, denken de Jefferies-analisten.

Wat een gedoe…

Het feit dat de FDA reeds op 21 april opmerkingen gemaakt heeft en niet gewacht heeft tot eind juni is zowat het enige positieve wat erover gezegd kan worden. Hopelijk dus geen nieuwe CRL binnenkort.

Dat heet kennis. Bekend bij bijvoorbeeld zondebokken c.q. analisten die allerlei suffe, specialistische publicaties kunnen volgen en daar soms iets uit halen. Voor anderen, denk aan je fishy, lan een koers een minder nauwkeuriger, alternatieve thermometer zijn. Dan blijkt de kennis uit achterblijven.

Al het Amerikaanse geneuzel volg ik nooit op de voet, maar zo kun je ditmaal wel terugvinden waarover het gaat ( www.fda.gov/media/168515/download ) en welke media daarover verleden week sneller berichtten dan bijvoorbeeld het niet in die materie gespecialiseerde De Tijd.
