Four contractors are battling it out for a € 66m deal to build an educational campus in Scotland, Construction News understands.
Balfour Beatty, Bam Construction, Morrison Construction and Robertson are believed to have been shortlisted for Forth Valley College's new Falkirk Campus.
One firm will ultimately be picked for the design-and-build contract.
Under the deal, the winning contractor will build a 20,148 sq m campus that will include work spaces, laboratories, classrooms, conference space and sports facilities.
More than 400 members of staff will be based at the campus along with 2,000 students.
It will be built on Grangemouth Road on the site of the college's former Middlefield Building. The overall scheme will cost the college in the region of € 91m and become its headquarters.
Construction is expected to start in September 2017 and finish in mid-August 2019.
The scheme was given the green light by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Funding Council in December last year.
Vinci Construction UK was last month awarded a € 110m contract to design and construct student accommodation at the University of Hull.
