JPMorgan schreef op 12 juni j.l. m.b.t. Apple een rapport getiteld WWDC: Passbook and Maps Highlight Apple's Increasing Role in the Digital Life.
Maps
Another key feature announced is Maps, built from the ground up by Apple. The new Apple Maps application is expected to replace Google Maps in iOS devices moving forward. The product works with Siri to offer voice turn-by-turn navigation. In addition, the new application incorporates 3D Flyover, which allows users to see places in highly detailed 3D rendering. Apple Maps also incorporates Yelp to provide listings for over 100 million local businesses. We believe Apple’s ability to create such a software-driven service demonstrate its increasing role on augmenting
the end user’s digital life.
Siri
Another plus with iOS 6 is that Siri will support iPad. During the WWDC keynote, Apple focused squarely on the nascent stage of Siri, having only been in existence for eight months. The presentation points focused on the many improvements in Siri with iOS 6, which is important given the end user feedback has been mixed in the first generation. Of note, Apple has partnered with Yelp and Open Table to augment Siri's ability to help users.
Lastly, Siri is part of Apple’s natively-designed Maps, supporting voice turn-by-turn driving direction. Within the next 12 months, Siri will be the backbone for “Eyes Free” service integrating Siri and Maps into automobiles. Apple highlighted several auto makers working with Apple on Eyes Free, including Audi, BMW, Chrysler, GM, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes, and Toyota.
Niet alleen in deze passages maar in geen enkel JPM rapport over Apple komt T2 voor.
Wellicht staat T2 niet op de Amerikaanse radar.
