@HRA-Coffin I would be mildly surprised if a MRE came in under 60 million ounces AgEq, though its possible. Mike and Craig are being very careful not to over-promise and make sure shareholders realize the resource drilling is about quality, not quantity. I agree with that direction.
What will set $VZLA apart is grade and AISC (which is *negative* $3.71 (-$3.71) after credits @Dreadnought, thanks to the gold grade). As long as the market knows the path to 100MM or 150MM ounces, or whatever, is clearly there, Vizsla will get a premium valuation due to the very high margin per ounce. As I have said many times over the past 18 months, the situation is unfolding very similarly to SilverCrest's Las Chispas, which I note also had an MRE of 65 million ounces AgEq.
Its the high grade, and high gold grades, that make both so attractive as gold has more price stability and generally very high metallurgical recoveries. Vizsla is actually getting valuation a bit faster than $SIL did, I think because of the existing permits and mill. Even though I suspect they will build a new mill from scratch, having a brownfields, permitted, site will still accelerate the path to production. Once the market understood SilverCrest would have ridiculously low AISC and that the highest grade portions of the resource could keep growing, the market started giving it a value of $8-10 per silver equivalent ounce. I expect $VZLA to get there faster, in part because it has the advantage of having SilverCrest as an example.
Lots of people thought $SIL was "expensive" midway through its rise, but it just kept going, ultimately hitting a value above $1.5 billion. I think Mike and Craig are very aware of the advantage of being seen as "SIL 2.0". They want as big a number as possible too I am sure, but they are not going to sacrifice ounces for grade at this point and I don't think they should either.
