BAM Construct has beaten a host of firms to win the job to build a brain scanning hospital unit in Cardiff.
The proposed new Cubric medical facility, containing MRI and specialist scanners, will be located at the Maindy Park Cardiff University campus close to the city centre.
Phase 2 of the project will see the firm build a 60,000 sq ft unit in the wider scheme.
The new facility follows BAM’s contract to build 25€m Hadyn Ellis medical research facility for stem cell research, completed last year.
This was the first time It is the first time that BAM and Cardiff University had worked together.
