"We are looking for the best and brightest minds to join our Online Navigation App (ONA) team, we are creating a companion App that connects to various different services within TomTom, you’ll be the first team implement the SDK’s created by two different brand new cloud based products not yet in the market, these SDK’s will in the near future be made public so you will get to help shape them early on."

"Who would be interested in buying Nokia Here? Given that cash flows are weak, we do not assume that a financial buyer will come out on top. Bloomberg names Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple and Uber as well as car manufacturers and Tier1s. We assume that the car manufacturers and the Tier1 suppliers have the best papers although Uber with its deep pockets cannot be ruled out either."

Nokia's sale of map business shows TT is undervalued

www.snssecurities.nl/Research/Actions...
SNS ziet sum-of-the-parts waardering TomTom van EUR 14.4 per aandeel (obv EUR 2 miljard waardering HERE)

"In FY15, the Telematics unit is expected to generate sales of EUR 146m and an EBITDA of EUR 64m. Fleetmatics is currently valued at an FY15 EV/EBITDA of 16.7 giving Telematics an implied valuation of EUR 1.07bn. Let's deduct 15% because of the difference between US and EU multiples, which gives TomTom Telematics an implied enterprise value of EUR 0.9bn.
Having taken out Telematics leaves TomTom with an FY15 EBITDA of EUR 85m. We then use the implied EV/EBITDA multiple from Nokia to calculate the value of the remaining business, which gives it an enterprise value of EUR 2.23bn (25x EUR 85m). We realize we are using an FY14 multiple on a FY15 forecast EBITDA but we do not have estimates for Nokia Here EBITDA available. The total enterprise value would then be EUR 3.13bn or an equity value (TomTom is net cash EUR 103m) of EUR 3.23bn. This translates into EUR 14.4 per share."

Retriever Communications And LoJack Corporation To Offer New Mobile Field Service Management Platform

Orlando, FL (Marketwired) - Today at the 2015 NAFA Institute & Expo, Retriever Communications, a global provider of mobile workforce automation, announced a collaboration with LoJack Corporation , a provider of vehicle theft recovery and advanced fleet management solutions, to launch a new mobile field service management platform. The new offering will provide field service fleet organizations with a scalable mobile solution that combines telematics and fleet management with dynamic data capture and real time scheduling.

"Until now, the enterprise didn't have access to a comprehensive mobility solution that can combine wide-ranging mobile workflow functionality with specialized fleet management and telematics," said Mary Brittain-White, CEO, Retriever Communications. Caters to a variety of operational needs, from simple to complex dynamic workflows
Allows for fleet operators to work offline
Offers complete visibility and transparency into field activity
Protects vehicles from unauthorized use
Increases safety for field technicians on the road and on the job

The collaboration between Retriever and LoJack offers a holistic IT approach to field service and improves cost savings by:

Streamlining internal business processes by going paperless
Increasing transparency and accountability of a mobile workforce to improve fuel usage for vehicles, automate work order management, and improve driver safety

"We are excited about the opportunity to deliver impactful business workflow and fleet management capabilities to our customers," said Randy Ortiz, President and CEO, LoJack. "The integration of LoJack Fleet Management powered by TomTom with Retriever Communications' Barking applications will give field service operators a powerful end-to-end solution that will efficiently streamline business operations and manage their fleet from any location."

VIDEO: TomTom car collects data to rival Google's Street View

A CAR which stopped at Tiverton Tesco this week drew glances from shoppers - and not just because its two burly male occupants chose to park in a parent and child space.

The TomTom mapping car was kitted out with the very latest in laser and satellite data gathering equipment and was on a mission to gather images and information for the tech company's latest offerings.

TomTom is best known for its satellite navigation systems for vehicles. But the firm is investing millions of dollars on a worldwide mapping system similar to that offered by Google, with its Street View service.

The Polish-registered TomTom car seen in Tiverton was fitted with Sick 3D laser scanners which take thousands of distance measurements every minute, as well as an array of cameras.

Data gathered will be used to improve satnav systems, but could also make an appearance in wearable tech such as watches for sportspeople.

Nieuwe klant ?

One of the best features is the off-line availability of maps, navigation, and traffic conditions. This means you do not need a data connection to use NLife USA Premium and there are no data charges for using it. TomTom maps are stored on your phone, so the they are always available to you. If you often lose your connection or are normally roaming while you travel, this app is perfect for you.
