PPG heeft inmiddels wel door dat het niet alleen om de hoogte van een nieuw bod gaat, armlastig als het bedrijf is.(bod bestaat voor 40% uit aandelen PPG)

En die aandelen worden almaar minder waard bij een hoger bod.
Ze hebben nu al geen geld genoeg voor het huidige bod.

Kansloze missie, die nog wat gerekt word om verder gezichtsverlies te voorkomen.

MSTERDAM (AFN) - FNV heeft overeenstemming bereikt met verfproducent PPG over een verlenging van het sociaal plan, dat op 1 juli zou aflopen, met anderhalf jaar. Dat betekent dat de circa duizend werknemers van het Amerikaanse bedrijf in Nederland nog tot eind volgend jaar bescherming genieten bij eventueel banenverlies.
Dat meldde de vakbond woensdag. De looptijd van het sociaal plan was oorspronkelijk gekoppeld aan die van de cao, die eveneens begin juli afloopt. De onderhandelingen over een nieuwe cao lopen nog. Met de verlenging wordt voorkomen dat er tijdelijk geen sociaal plan is bij PPG.
Juist de komende jaren is zo'n financieel vangnet volgens FNV belangrijk, aangezien PPG branchegenoot AkzoNobel wil overnemen. De vakbond probeert te voorkomen dat daardoor werkgelegenheid verdwijnt, maar wil ook alvast goede afspraken op papier hebben staan voor als het toch zo ver komt.

Vakbond acht verlenging noodzakelijk vanwege mogelijke overname AkzoNobel.

(ABM FN-Dow Jones) CNV Vakmensen heeft met de directie van PPG Nederland overeenstemming bereikt over een verlenging van het sociaal plan tot 1 januari 2019. Dit maakte de vakbond woensdag bekend.

CNV vindt de verlenging belangrijk vanwege een mogelijke overname van AkzoNobel door het Amerikaanse chemieconcern. "Als PPG er daadwerkelijk in slaagt om AkzoNobel in te lijven, dan levert dat verlies van banen op bij PPG. Zoveel is al wel zeker”, aldus bestuurder Peter Böeseken van CNV Vakmensen.

De onderhandelingen over een nieuwe CAO bij PPG Nederland starten na de zomer.

Volgens Böeseken was verlenging van het sociaal plan vooral van belang vanwege de nadruk op scholing er in. Ook de schadeloosstelling bij ontslag is volgens de bestuurder nu nog steeds op niveau.

Zoals je ziet is PPG al bezig met 1 van de grootste zorgen van AKZO, namelijk het baan behoud.

Als PPG daar garantie overgeeft, waar het dus nu op lijkt, dan is deze klus geklaard. Bod nog beetje hoger, en dan done.

Geen aandelen hebben. Dat zelfs toegeven en dan maar de grootst mogelijke onzin hier verkondigen waarom er geen bod meer zal komen. Irritant zo'n oelewapper.

Dat gaat niet over AKZO, maar over de bedrijven die men al heeft in Nederland, bijvoorbeeld HISTOR. Goed lezen!!!!!

jullie lezen niet goed.
sociaal plan is geen CAO. Die is ervoor als mensen de deur worden gewezen.
Niets meer of minder....Akzo heeft zijn eigen sociale plan.

Als er al een vijandig bod komt, dan kan dat pas na sluiting van de beurs in NY.

Wel het meest voor de hand liggend. Kan ook nog voorbeurs USA, maar dan worden Ton en Antony weer overvallen...

PPG Reiterates Invitation to AkzoNobel to Discuss Combination of the Two Companies

PITTSBURGH--(Business Wire)--PPG (NYSE:PPG) today reiterated its invitation to AkzoNobel (AKZA.AS: AKZOY) to enter into discussions to explore PPG’s proposal to form a combined company. This follows the previous announcements on March 9, 2017, and March 22, 2017.

PPG continues to believe that a combination of the two companies has a strong strategic rationale and presents a highly compelling and unique opportunity for both AkzoNobel and PPG and their respective stakeholders.
