Nederland niet betrekken bij de oorlog is nogal naif.
Dat is al gebeurd.
Daarom moet in het Rusland draadje juist aandacht geschonken worden van de positie van Multiculti Kikkerland.

Het gaat niet alleen om hun maar ook om ons
We zijn in Nederland niet onafhankelijk zoals in de eerst wereldoorlog.

"Amerika heeft de wereld uitgebuit. Dat heeft geleid tot conflicten aan onze grenzen. Maar 2022 heeft laten zien dat je van Rusland niet kunt winnen op het slagveld en dat je ons niet kan vernietigen met sancties", zo klonk het vandaag uit de speakers tijdens een bijeenkomst met president Poetin op de 26e editie van het St. Petersburg Internationaal Economisch Forum (SPIEF).

Maar dit jaar was het forum, dat een tegenhanger moet zijn voor het World Economic Forum in Davos, minder internationaal dan ooit tevoren. Dat blijkt alleen al uit het thema: "Soevereine ontwikkeling voor een rechtvaardige wereld", een term die het Kremlin gebruikt voor de binnenlandse industrieën en het stimuleren van lokale investeringen.

De afgelopen dagen werd in panels gesproken over de heropleving van de eigen economie, over hoe de wereldeconomie 'gede-dollariseerd' moet worden en hoe islamitisch bankieren eruit moet zien.
Het is het tweede jaar op rij dat westerse landen het economisch forum boycotten en ook niet welkom zijn, net als alle journalisten van 'onvriendelijke landen' die dit jaar geen accreditatie kregen.

Maar dit jaar hebben ook de leiders van Ruslands strategische bondgenoten, zoals Kazachstan, niet de moeite genomen langs te komen. Vorig jaar was president Tokajev nog aanwezig, dit jaar stuurde hij twee afgevaardigden. Ook de leiders van de BRICS-landen (Brazilië, India, China en Zuid-Afrika), het economische bondgenootschap dat zich samen met Rusland afzet tegen westerse landen, bleven weg.

Volgens de Financial Times had de organisatie van tevoren geprobeerd nog een aantal belangrijke westerse gasten uit te nodigen, onder wie de voormalige ceo van Google, Eric Schmidt. Maar deze gasten zouden de uitnodiging hebben afgewezen en gezegd hebben dat ze Oekraïne steunen.

Wél aanwezig dit jaar zijn de president van Algerije, de minister van Buitenlandse Zaken van Hongarije, afgevaardigden van Afrikaanse landen, uit de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten en van Cuba. Ook de door Rusland geïnstalleerde leiders van Donetsk en Cherson, Denis Poesjilin en Vladimir Saldo waren in de zaal en een delegatie van de Taliban, in Rusland officieel bestempeld als extremistische organisatie en daarmee verboden.

Ik was me er bewust van toen ik het intypte. Maar niemand zal van het verschil wakker liggen.

Het was echt belachelijk dat de Zweedse freule Ollongren in maart 2022 begon over het sturen van helmen en dat soort spul. Gelukkig draaide ze daarna snel bij, maar het bewijst haar onkunde, iig dat ze op de verkeerde plek zit.

Zij deelt met Sigrid Kaag dat ze sterke en arrogante karakters hebben. Ploumen van de PvdA was geen partij voor Kaag. Kaag was daarom ook goed als VN-gezant in het Midden-Oosten.

Maar laat deze elitair opgeleide dames ajb niet los op het gewone volk in dit land. Dat is vragen om onbegrip en haat-mails, hoe onterecht ook. Zij kunnen zich never en nooit niet verplaatsen in de cassiëre bij AH, de WMO-thuishulp, de schoonmakers van hun kantoren na 18 uur, of de nachtzuster in het ziekenhuis.

Met al hun misschien goede bedoelingen staan deze neo-liberale dames echte solidariteit in de weg. Het beste voor het land zou zijn als ze nu zouden ophoepelen, althans voor een paar jaar.
Samen met Rutte, maar hij kan beter definitief wegblijven.

Miltaire dienstplicht kan inhouden dat uitzending van onze militairen naar Ukraine daar onderdeel van is.
Geen parlementaire bevoegdheid zou daarover gaan.
Die beslissing is aan de regering.

op allerlei manieren zit Hongarije de Europese unie, democratie en de NAVO dwars.
nu krijgen ze zelfs geen himars meer geleverd.
wordt het geen tijd voor; of bijdraaien of lazer op naar Rusland.
als dit keihard voorgelegd wordt zullen ze snel eieren voor hun geld kiezen.
Europa zou zich veel harder moeten opstellen tegen deze kleine dictators binnen de unie.

Helemaal mee eens. Dat gezanik over 'freule' Olongren en de vermeende arrogantie van Kaag..
doe dat lekker in het Rutte draadje. Daar grijpt de moderator amper in, vrijwel alleen feitenvrije onzin daar. Onderbuik lekker leeg laten lopen en mijmeren over hoe vroeger alles beter was, daar. Dan kan het hier over Rusland gaan.

Belgium announced the 15th package of military assistance for Ukraine – with armoured vehicles

On Friday, the Council of Ministers of Belgium approved the 15th package of military assistance for Ukraine.

Details: As part of this package, Belgium will purchase and hand over armoured vehicles as soon as the Belgian defence industry companies bring them to proper condition.

The vehicles in question are tracked armoured vehicles of the M113 type, which were withdrawn from service by the Belgian army 10 years ago.

"Supporting Ukraine is not a competition between allies, but the result of a coordinated approach, the goal of which is to respond to needs as best as possible. This new package fully fits into this logic," Ludivine Dedonder said.

The number of armoured vehicles is not specified.

Last week, Belgium announced its intention to transfer to Ukraine a 32.4 million euros worth of 105-millimetre artillery projectiles.

Frontline report: Ukrainian forces break through Russian lines in Bakhmut

Today there are a lot of updates from the east.

Here, Ukrainians managed to breach several Russian defensive positions and assault multiple settlements that are protecting the northern Bakhmut’s flank.

The main axis of the attack became Berkhivka

After the regular Russian forces exhausted their offensive capabilities and failed to recapture the tactical heights around Bakhmut, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian forces conducted a tactical regrouping to more reliable positions.

The Head of the Wagner Group, Prigozhin, who spent considerable resources gaining the ground that the regular forces were losing, immediately stated that the fact that Ukrainians captured all tactical heights meant that the fall of Berkhivka and the whole northern flank was just a matter of time.

Over the last week, after achieving their tactical objectives in the southern part of the region, Ukrainian forces could finally prioritize the northern flank.

Judging by the combat footage, Ukrainians opened multiple vectors of attacks. These include:

> The first attack was launched south of the railways. As Prigozhin himself mentioned in an interview, the combination of tree lines and the embankment makes it very easy for a mechanized group to quickly close the distance and assault the trenches.
> The second line of attack became the pathway between the reservoir and the railways. Russian sources reported that Ukrainians lost multiple tanks and armored fighting vehicles and that their attempt to take Berkhivka completely failed. However, Berkhivka was not the main goal of this attack. The main purpose of this attack was to clear all the tree lines between the reservoir and railways in order to set conditions for what was coming next.
> And the next Ukrainian attacks were directed toward Yahidne. So, by improving their tactical position in the vicinity of Berkhivka, Ukrainians effectively blocked Russians from conducting a flank attack and undermining their offensive efforts.

The Head of the Wagner Group, Prigozhin, was asked to evaluate the situation, and he said that his reconnaissance crews clearly recorded that Ukrainians had indeed populated the tree lines and entrenched themselves even more.

In the meantime, the intensity of engagements around Yahidne has been increasing significantly. Russian sources indirectly confirmed that Ukrainians are attacking Berkhivka and Yahidne, while the Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister stated that Ukrainian forces managed to advance by up to 1.5 km, precisely the distance between Yahidne and the previous Russian defense line in the tree lines.

Ukrainian 57th Motorized Rifle Brigade released a highly graphic video of how those Russian soldiers trying to escape the heat only got under devastating mortar fire that instantly killed the entire squad.

Ukrainian 14th Mechanized Brigade released a video showing how they were destroying Russian tanks in the vicinity of Yahidne.

Ukrainian 77th Airmobile Brigade showed how they were destroying enemy ammunition depots and equipment also in Yahidne.

The sentiment of the Ukrainian fighters that are reporting news from Bakhmut is quite positive, and they also signaled that many moves are not being reported yet, however, if everything goes according to the plan, Ukrainians will be able to slice off the Russian salient north of Bakhmut and start moving further.

In fact, there is already a lot of footage that shows how Ukrainian artillery has started undermining the next Russian defense line, namely in Blahodatne and Pidhorodne.

Today Ukrainians also released footage of the aftermath of a successful Ukrainian attack in the vicinity of Sakko i Vantsetti. Such actions are not only stretching Russian forces along the whole front line but also indicate that:

> The scale of the potential offensive is much bigger
> Just like last time, Ukrainians may very well end up conducting several back-to-back counteroffensive operations on various parts of the front line

Russische opstandelingen bezetten een deel van de Russische Belgorod regio

Nadat Tsjetsjeense troepen in de regio Bilhorod waren aangekomen, weigerden ze posities in de grensgebieden in te nemen.

The centre of the fighting in Ukraine has switched to the road to Mariupol where the Ukrainian offensive is slowly pushing back Russian forces, with British Challenger tanks ready to join battle, a minister in Kyiv has said.

Hanna Maliar, a deputy defence minister, said the most active fighting was no longer around Bakhmut, in the eastern Donetsk region, but in the south and specifically in the direction of the two coastal cities of Berdiansk and Mariupol.

“If the first week the epicentre was the east, now we see that the fighting is moving to the south and now we see the most active areas are Berdiansk and Mariupol,” Maliar said. “In the east, the enemy has turned on all the forces to stop our offensive. And they are massing forces there to stop us. In the south they are not very successful.”

“There is progress on all southern directions, and there are several of them,” the minister added. “If we talk about losses, in the Bakhmut sector, nine times more Russians were killed than Ukrainians. And in the southern direction, Russians died 5.3 times more than Ukrainians.”
