Iran non oil export up to USD 32 billion
MNA cited Mr Abbas Memarnejad DG of Islamic Republic of Iran Custom Administration as saying that the country’s export has reached USD 32 billion in the past 9 months and stated that despite economic pressure, non oil export has also increased. The country’s commerce also has exceeded USD 73 billion in the same period.
Mr Abbas Memarnejad pointed to the Custom’s roles and obligations and said that implementation of government policies in export and import, control and supervision of cargo transport through the country’s territory, fighting smuggling and customhouse violations, import and export custom formalities, domestic and overseas transportation, planning and execution of governmental economical policies and collection and analysis of foreign commerce statistics are the most important obligations of the Islamic Republic of Iran Custom Administration.
Mr Memarnejad expressed the Custom’s readiness for strengthening cooperation with the region, standardizing customhouse procedures, as well as expansion of regional interactions.
