Paulson Cuts Holding in SPDR Gold Trust; Soros Fund Has Increase -- Paulson & Co., the U.S. hedge fund founded by John Paulson,
cut its holdings in the SPDR Gold Trust as the price of the metal surged to a record, while Soros Fund Management LLC bought more
shares, government records show. Paulson held 20.3 million shares of the exchange-traded fund backed by gold as of Sept. 30, compared
with 31.5 million at the end of the second quarter, a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing showed. Soros, founded by billionaire
investor George Soros, increased holdings to 48,350 shares from 42,800. Eric Mindich’s Eton Park Capital Management LP sold its entire
holding of 813,000 shares, while SAC Capital Advisors LP and Touradji Capital Management LP made purchases. (BN)
