Kortom totale verspilling van collectief geld en tevens energie.

Lijkt mij ook dit project word door de tijd ingehaald, na het wegbezuinigen van de reisvergoedingen zullen enkel minder dan meer mensen gaan reizen.
Afblazen dit project en direkt alle onderzoeken staken, dit zal een echte bezuiniging zijn.

Geld waar de provincie mee dient te stimuleren moet in de werkgelegenheid daar worden geinvesteerd voor de langere termijn.
Niet in prestige producten waar slechts enkelen eenmalig ff snel van profiteren.

AMERSFOORT (AFN) - Bouwbedrijf VolkerWessels heeft een naar eigen zeggen recordbestelling geplaatst van 50 elektrische auto's van het merk Peugeot. De opdracht heeft een totale waarde van 2 miljoen euro, maakte de onderneming dinsdag bekend.

Het gaat om de Peugeot iOn, een volledig elektrisch aangedreven vierpersoonsauto. Elektro-auto's helpen het concern te voldoen aan strenge Europese aanbestedingsnormen. ,,Brussel verlangt een lage gemiddelde uitstoot van wagenparken. Hoe lager de CO2-uitstoot hoe hoger ondernemingen op aanbestedingslijsten terecht komen'', aldus VolkerWessels.

Volgens mij is betonproductie de grootste CO2 veroorzaker. Maar dan wel lekker hypocriet in een ellectrisch autootje erbij (want wordt geen BMW voor ingeruild hoor) gaan rijden.

Electric vehicles sales drop after subsidy scheme ends

Industry players said that expiry of cash subsidy scheme on electric vehicles before the launch of the national action plan has resulted in 75% drop in sales of electric vehicles since April 2012. They now demand extension of subsidy scheme till the announcement of the policy.

Mr Avinash Bhandari joint MD of Electrotherm said that "Sales of our bikes are down by 75% in the current fiscal. We have footfalls but they are not getting converted into sales, as consumers find that the subsidy is no longer available.”

The company's sales of bikes doubled to nearly 80,000 in 2011-12 compared to the previous fiscal. It had sold 15,000 bikes in the first quarter of the previous fiscal. The company claims to have 25% share in the electric two wheeler industry.

Mr Sohinder Gill director of the Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles, claims that withdrawal of subsidy has resulted in 'not a single electric car sold in April and May'. He claims that plummeting of sales by more than 50% has made business unviable for dealers.

Mr Gill told ET that "Close to 33% of the dealers are reverting to their earlier business and around 20% have put down shutters. It is difficult to convince them for persisting in the business. Rental and other operating expenses are high.”

The union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy provided a cash subsidy of INR 4,000 to INR 5,000 on electric two wheeler and of INR one lakh on electric cars. The subsidy scheme ended on March 31st 2012.

The subsidy is available to the indigenous manufacturers of electric vehicles, registered with MNRE and then passed on the consumers. Electrotherm, Hero Electric and BSA Electric are amongst the 12 manufacturers of electric two wheelers. The rest are regional players. Mahindra Reva is the only electric car manufacturer registered with MNRE.

The scheme was to be replaced by National Electric Mobility Plan of the Ministry of Heavy Industries of the Union government, aimed at creating an ecosystem for promotion of electric and hybrid vehicles in the country. Already in an advance stage of discussion, the plan has components like cash subsidy and financing facilities for the end consumers, creating a network for charging of the vehicles, research and development as well as incentives for the companies amongst others.

Mr R Chandramouli COO of Mahindra Reva the manufacturer of India's first electric car 'Reva', feels that the cash subsidy in India is very less compared to other countries and hopes that this aspect is catered to in the National Electric Mobility Action Plan. He told ET that "The US government gives a subsidy of USD 7,500 per vehicle. In China, the national government gives a subsidy of USD 8,000 and in European countries it is EUR 3,000.”

Industry fear that the time gap between the expiry of the subsidy scheme and launch of the national action plan is impacting the industry as the skilled workforce created over years is migrating to other sectors for want of work. Mr Gill said that "We have a manpower of 2,000 people. But they are moving to other jobs. It will be difficult to bring them again if corrective measures are not taken.”

Record aan investeringen in schoon vervoer

DEN HAAG (AFN) - Het bedrijfsleven heeft vorig jaar ruim 51 miljoen euro geïnvesteerd in elektrische auto's, voertuigen met een hybridemotor en zeer zuinige personenauto's. Dat betekende een record.

Dat blijkt uit het jaarverslag van subsidieregelingen voor investeringen in milieuvriendelijke bedrijfsmiddelen. Agentschap NL kreeg vorig jaar twee keer zoveel subsidieaanvragen binnen voor schoon en zuinig vervoer als het jaar ervoor.

In totaal investeerde het bedrijfsleven 1,2 miljard euro in milieuvriendelijke apparaten, gebouwen en vervoersmiddelen.

PARIJS (AFN) - De Franse regering schiet de eigen auto-industrie te hulp met maatregelen die de productie van milieuvriendelijke auto's moeten stimuleren en autobedrijven moeten beschermen tegen de economische crisis in Europa. Dat maakte de regering woensdag bekend.

Om de verkoop van 'groene' auto's te stimuleren wordt de bonus voor kopers van een elektrische auto verhoogd van 5000 naar 7000 euro. Voor hybride auto's gaat het voordeel met 2000 euro omhoog naar 4000 euro. Dit kost de Franse staat naar verwachting 490 miljoen euro. Dit bedrag wordt gecompenseerd door een hogere belasting op zwaar vervuilende auto's.

De Franse overheid streeft er verder naar haar wagenpark voor een kwart uit elektrische of hybride voertuigen te laten bestaan. Daarnaast komen er faciliteiten voor autobedrijven die lijden onder de moeilijke marktomstandigheden in Europa. De regering zet 350 miljoen euro opzij voor kredieten aan autoproducenten. Voor kleinere autobedrijven is 150 miljoen euro aan bijstand beschikbaar.

Spotjes

De regering huurt verder onder meer de bekende filmregisseur Luc Besson in om spotjes te maken die Fransen warm moeten maken voor de aankoop van een Franse auto.

Franse autoproducenten zitten door de economische problemen in Europa in zwaar weer. Woensdag bleek dat PSA Peugeot-Citroën in het eerste halfjaar van 2012 een verlies leed van 819 miljoen euro. Het bedrijf kondigde onlangs aan 8000 arbeidplaatsen te schrappen in Frankrijk.

De problemen blijven echter niet bepekt tot Frankrijk. Woensdag gaf het Duitse Daimler aan in bijna alle regio's economische onzekerheden en risico's te zien. De Duitse vrachtwagenbouwer MAN presenteerde daarnaast een verlies van 89 miljoen euro over het tweede kwartaal. Voor de rest van het jaar voorziet het concern een afname van de omzet.

Chinese elektrische bussen voor Schiermonnikoog

AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Schiermonnikoog krijgt zes volledig elektrische bussen van Chinese makelij, meldt fabrikant BYD woensdag.

De bussen met ijzer-fosfaat-accu's hebben een actieradius van 250 kilometer. Het project zal de CO2-uitstoot van het openbaar vervoer op het Waddeneiland verminderen.

BYD is 's werelds grootste fabrikant van oplaadbare batterijen en van opladers voor mobiele telefoons en China's snelstgroeiende autofabrikant. Het Europese hoofdkantoor staat in Rotterdam.

BMW previews 2 prototypes of Born Electric

PTI reported that the BMW Group unveiled a sneak preview of 2 prototypes of BMW-i Born Electric the next generation BMW i3 Concept and the BMW i8 Concept Roadster here as part of a world tour organized by the company.

With its zero emissions all electric engine and a range of 80 miles to 100 miles, the BMW i3 Concept is designed mainly for city use.

The company’s global tour has only New York as the stop for the US. The worldwide tour includes Rome, Ddorf, Tokyo, London, Paris and Shanghai.

Mr Peter Miles executive vice president (operations) of BMW Group North America said that the BMW i-3 and i-8 will become the first purpose built electric and hybrid electric production vehicles to be made primarily from carbon fibre when they become available for customers in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

BMW-i was introduced by the BMW Group last year and is now in the process of preparing for the launch of vehicles under the brand in the next few years.

With BMW-i, the BMW Group is consolidating its position as the most innovative and sustainable automobile manufacturer in the world and is responding to the challenges of the future in terms of eco sustainable mobility.

Mr Miles said that the brand itself is a part of an imitative dubbed Project-I that BMW launched decades ago and brought together a group of top thinkers within the company to explore the future of mobility.

He said that “As street parking continues to be one of the biggest challenges in our congested cities and because the time spent searching for parking is a major reason for increased emissions and wasted fuel, we feel that our involvement with these innovations is a key component of BMW-I strategy.”

Together with its premium electric vehicles, BMW also offers a range of services for mobility. These are services aimed at optimizing the use of parking spaces, the utilization of navigation systems that can access local information, intermodal road maps and car sharing schemes such as DriveNow.

Among the most eye catching features of the BMW i8 Concept Roadster are the upward-swiveling, windowless doors and a range of purpose oriented on board equipment, including electric kickboards stowed under a transparent tailgate.

GM opent Chinees onderzoekscentrum

SJANGHAI (AFN) - De Amerikaanse autofabrikant General Motors (GM) opent donderdag in China een onderzoekscentrum, dat zich vooral zal gaan toeleggen op de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe generatie elektrische auto's.

Een van de belangrijkste taken van het zogenoemde 'GM China Advanced Technical Center' is te zorgen dat specifieke voorkeuren van Chinese consumenten ingebed worden in de producten van GM. China heeft sinds 2009 de grootste automarkt ter wereld en ziet deze markt nog altijd groeien.

Daarnaast zal het centrum, samen met vergelijkbare centra in de Verenigde Staten, Duitsland en Zuid-Korea, ook de rest van de wereld bedienen.

Personeel in China

GM wil met het centrum, gevestigd in Sjanghai, ook gebruikmaken van het ruime aanbod aan technisch geschoold personeel in China. ,,China levert al de meeste technisch afgestudeerden ter wereld'', zei directeur John Du van het centrum donderdag.

Donderdag opent de tweede fase van het onderzoekscentrum. De eerste fase werd al in september 2011 geopend. Hier hebben de onderzoekers al technologie getest voor de nieuwe generatie batterijen voor elektrische auto's. Ook is er al onderzoek begonnen naar lichtgewichtonderdelen, vooral van magnesium en extra sterke staalsoorten. China is een belangrijke producent van deze materialen.

Focusgebied

Nieuwe energie, oftewel elektrische voertuigen, wordt een belangrijk focusgebied van het Chinese centrum. ,,Dit is logisch, omdat de Aziatische landen Japan, Zuid-Korea en China het centrum zijn in de wereld op het gebied van onderzoek naar geavanceerde elektrische batterijen voor auto's'', aldus Yale Chang van het Chinese adviesbureau Automotive Foresight.

GM maakte donderdag ook bekend dat het samen met de Chinese partners SAIC Motor en Wuling Motors in 2015 een fabriek opent in de stad Chongqing, in het zuidwesten van het land. In de fabriek, die jaarlijks 400.000 voertuigen moet afleveren, investeren de drie 6,6 miljard yuan (816 miljoen euro). Het wordt de derde fabriek van GM in China.

Recordbedrag Duitse bedrijven naar onderzoek

ESSEN (AFN) - Duitse bedrijven hebben in 2011 een recordbedrag van ruim 50 miljard euro gespendeerd aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling. Vooral bij Duitse autofabrikanten gaat veel geld naar onderzoek van nieuwe technologieën. Dat bleek donderdag uit een studie van de Duitse branchevereniging voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek.

Duitse ondernemingen verhoogden daarmee hun uitgaven aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling in 2011 met 7,2 procent in vergelijking met een jaar eerder. In Europees verband neemt het Duitse bedrijfsleven de koppositie in. In totaal zijn er in Duitsland bijna 350.000 voltijdsbanen mee gemoeid.

De Duitse autosector gaf met bijna 16 miljard euro het meeste uit aan onderzoek, bijvoorbeeld bij de ontwikkeling van elektrische auto's. Volkswagen stond bovenaan qua uitgaven aan onderzoek, gevolgd door Daimler. BMW stond op de tiende plaats.

Voor dit jaar verwacht de branchevereniging een veel minder sterke groei van de uitgaven aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling. Die nemen naar verwachting met 1,9 procent toe. Voor 2013 wordt op een toename van 3,6 procent gerekend.

New energy vehicles in operation set to climb 45%

CHINA expects to have 39,700 energy-efficient and new-energy vehicles in operation by the end of March, a rise of 45 percent, the Ministry of Science and Technology said yesterday.

According to a ministry statement, so far 27,400 energy efficient and new-energy vehicles are running in 25 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, and they comprised 23,000 buses, vans and cars in the public service sector and another 4,400 in private use.

Mr Zhao Yuhai, a ministry official said that in September 2012, the central government earmarked CNY 4 billion (USD 641.9 million) for the continued development of new energy vehicles and key components such as batteries.

Mr Zhao added that China now has 174 charging stations and 8,107 charging posts. It has also set up relevant technical standards and an inspection system.

Minder storingen laadpalen elektrische auto

De oplaadpunten voor elektrische auto's van de stichting e-laad doen het steeds beter. Er zijn minder storingen en de tijd dat palen goed werken neemt toe, blijkt maandag uit cijfers over 2012.

Waar in januari vorig jaar nog bij bijna 6 procent van de 2500 'transacties' in die maand een storing gemeld werd, was dit in december slechts ruim 1 procent op de 13.000 'transacties'. Beginnersfouten worden er steeds meer uitgefilterd naar mate we meer ervaring hebben, stelt e-laad.

Ook de zogeheten 'uptime' van laadpunten is in 2012 verbeterd, van 88 procent naar 98 procent. Dat is de tijd dat laadpunten verbonden zijn met de centrale. De tijd dat deze verbinding is verbroken wordt 'downtime' genoemd. Dit kan onder andere worden veroorzaakt door het wegvallen van de telecommunicatie of de netspanning vanwege een stroomstoring.

Stichting e-laad is een initiatief van de beheerders van energienetten om elektrisch rijden te promoten. In 2012 heeft de stichting 1171 oplaadpunten laten plaatsen. In totaal beheert e-laad nu 2314 palen.

De tweezitter haalt met gemak een topsnelheid van 249 kilometer per uur, en trekt op de 100 meter een sprintje in 3,7 seconden. De wagen heeft een actieradius van zo'n 300 kilometer. Tukie and Zonda to build electric bus manufacturing factory

Reuters reported that Chinese firm Zonda and Turkish firm Tukie have signed a protocol with the Siirt Governor’s Office to establish an electric bus manufacturing factory in the southeastern province.

A plant that will be constructed in the organized industrial zone will produce 2,000 electric buses and create employment for 2,000 people.

Hybrid and electric autos in spotlight as China looks to a green future

Hybrid and electric models were in the spotlight as the 15th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. This was not surprising, given that China, the world's biggest auto market, has just experienced a winter of unprecedented smog amid high vehicle emission levels.

Among the more than 1,300 vehicles on display, 91 were new energy models, including 56 from international firms, making it the first time in the show's history that foreign models outnumbered domestic ones for green exhibits.

Mr Wang Xia chairman of the Automobile Industry Committee at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said figures show that new energy cars are no longer only an eco-friendly concept touted by Chinese carmakers, but, rather, a substantial business opportunity recognized by market players from all over the world amid increasing environmental awareness.

Of special concern are sports utility vehicles which often conjure up image of being gas guzzlers. Volkswagen presented a global model of its hybrid SUV CrossBlue Coupe and China's GAC unveiled the deep hybrid SUV Trumpchi GA5.

The most notable evidence of the growing social importance of green vehicles in China is perhaps the fact that they took center stage at the stands of premium car brands, whose customers hardly need to worry about rising fuel prices.

Among luxury green cars making their China debut were Mercedes-Benz' SLS AMG Electric Drive and Lexus' hybrid LF-CC concept car. Porsche made the new Panamera S E-Hybrid the centerpiece of its show appearance.

Another trend in the green business is that the development and production of electric cars and supporting technologies is shifting to more of a global collaboration model.

Electric vehicles makers hit subsidy hurdle in India

The Indian government’s delay in announcing subsidy schemes for electric vehicles has led many companies to either close shop or cut back operations.

Despite the Government’s announcement of the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020 that envisages around seven million electric and hybrid vehicles in seven years, the subsidy schemes that would help achieve the target are yet to see the light of the day.

The Prime Minister had seen all the documents and proposals related to the Policy and subsidy schemes in January. He had responded positively to them, according to industry sources.

The schemes includes non levy of value added tax, no road tax and 15 per cent concession on the on road price of the vehicle. Currently, only Delhi has implemented this.

In the two-wheelers segment, market leader Hero Electric has closed 35 dealerships across the country. The company’s network now stands at 204 showrooms. Lectrix Motors (part of SAR Group which also sells electrical products under the Luminous brand) has shut 10 of its 80 dealerships.

Mr Sohinder Gill Director Corporate Affairs, Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles told Business Line that “Since March last year, around 400 dealerships have been closed down across India by many companies because operations could not be sustained. Companies such as Avon, BSA Motors, Ampere Vehicles and EKO Vehicles have already stopped production.”
