Judge warns Trump not to dispute or undermine what court has already found

The judge said that per last year’s verdict, “Mr. Trump in fact sexually abused Ms. Carroll by forcibly and without her consent inserting his fingers into her vagina.”

Judge, defense attorney sparring over what Trump will say
The judge is sparring with attorney Alina Habba over what Donald Trump will say. Habba is insisting that Trump has to continue to deny the accusation.
“I want to know everything he is going to say,” U.S. District Court Judge Lewis A. Kaplan said.
“I do not have an answer to that other than that he stands by his deposition, his testimony that the plaintiff brought in,” Habba said.

Alina Habba said she’s only going to ask Donald Trump three questions.
She said she’s trying to elicit that he stands by his denials in the deposition, that he was only intending to respond to allegations, and that he never instructed anyone to hurt E. Jean Carroll in his statements.

Donald Trump is already speaking out of turn from his seat at the defense table.
“I don’t know who the woman is. I never met this woman,” the former president said, prompting an admonishment from U.S. District Court Judge Lewis A. Kaplan.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Trump, you’re interrupting these proceedings by talking loudly while your attorney is talking and that is not permitted,” Kaplan said.

Trump on stand for just a few minutes
Former president Donald Trump’s time on the stand was over in just a few minutes.
His attorney Alina Habba asked very limited questions, including whether he had ever instructed people to hurt E. Jean Carroll. Trump said he did not. She asked Trump whether he stood by his deposition testimony, a portion of which was played in court earlier in the day. Trump said he did. He also denied Carroll’s allegation, calling it false.
And after days of buildup and delays ahead of his testimony, Trump was off the stand.
